About Me

Licensed in Virginia since 2016 and working in the counseling field since 2009, I have been serving the children, adolescents, and families in Orange and the surrounding counties in a variety of counseling capacities. My second office location opened in Goochland County in November 2020. Specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches, my services aim to bring clarity to the connection between one's thoughts, feelings, and behavioral choices.  I received my Bachelors degree from James Madison University and went on to obtain two Masters degrees in Human Services and Mental Health Counseling.  Early career experience in Intensive In-home Counseling led to specialized training from trauma specialists.  This allowed me to obtain my CSOTP to work with adolescents who have engaged in sexually harmful behaviors as well as with those who have experienced childhood trauma.  I have experience working and collaborating with a variety of referring community agencies.  When I am not working, I enjoy spending my time with my family, running, reading, and exploring the outdoors. 📸: kcomparettophotography.com
